Jess Morrison received yet another award winning the Victorian Institute of Sport Award of Excellence alongside you fellow Victorian members of her Olympic gold medal four and Dylan Alcock.

Congratulations Patrick McNamara on his election as life member of RA

Congratulations to Patrick McNamara on his election to life membership of Rowing Australia. Patrick has been a great servant of Rowing Australia taking on many roles most notably as President. Mercantile Foundation assists our rowers

The trustees of the Club's Foundation are pleased to announce that $20,000 will be made available from the Colgan Fund to assist athletes with their seat fees. 

Vale Ken Hume

It is with great regret that we advise members of the passing of Ken Hume. He was a great Mercantilian and a great loss to the sport. A celebration of his life will be conducted at the Boykett Pavilion at Scotch College, Thursday 2nd June 2022 at 4.30pm.

Fundraising for members competing overseas

Congratulations to all those members who will compete for Australia or Mercantile overseas. We are immensely proud of your achievements. However we now must help fund raise for their endeavours.

Great first day at the Easter Regattas

For those older members who thought that the country regattas are only in their memories, think again. With the success of the Rutherglen Regattas in January and the Easter regattas, country regattas are still with us.

Mercs strives for Club Premiership

Our Clubbies are at it again, trying to gain the Club Premiership for Mercs at the Easter regattas. Currently Mercantile is tied with Corio Bay and the results at Easter will be the difference. No pressure.

Australian Championships in review

Mercs performed well at the Australian Rowing Championships at Nagambie led by some outstanding results from our Para rowers and our lightweights. 

Mercantilians in The Boat Race

Mercantile was represented in the men's and women's Blue Boats of Oxford University this year in the Boat Race raced on 3rd April.
