Club member Andrew Guerin has established a new website www.australianrowingimages.com to make available both current and historical rowing images to the rowing community. Whilst still in it's infancy, well over 30,000 images are already on the site.
The New Year brings some time for reflection and so your website author have gone back in time to recognise important members of years gone by. Specifically, we highlight three members who died on active service in WW2.
Happy New Year to all our members.

Recently the Morrison family was recognised by MLC, last weekend member Tony Walker was recognised by MGS and past coach David Fraumano by St Catherines.
Sean has compiled stories on a coach who significantly influenced him. Like so many well knowm coaches, Ted was a character with a strong personality. He was ex-special forces and it showed.
When I first met him in 1992, he was legendary and coached the crew most likely to defeat the Oarsome Foursome in the Olympic Games. He was tough and tough on his crews. Despite these attributes, it was clear that he would walk over hot coals for his crews.
