High-performing school rowers and coxswains in Year 12 and Year 10 & 11 are invited to sign up to the Mercantile Winter Program.
The program is aimed at athletes that want to put themselves in the best position to achieve their goals in the 2023-24 season by improving their sweep/sculling skills and developing their fitness.

Club member Jessica Morrison was presented with her Order of Australia for services to sport by the Governor of Victoria The Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO. Jessica's proud parents John and Karen, along with sister Becky, were on hand to celebrate the landmark occasion at Government House in Melbourne
Mercantile had a good and successful time at the Easter Regattas, again. We are again a key participant at the regattas and our presence much welcomed.
Quite apart from the State crews, our club crews came to the fore on Sunday with the finals of the club boats. It was first day of good rowing conditions all week.
Saturday racing again revealed some top racing. The lightweight eights lived up to their reputation as a tough and tight event with the first three crews finishing within 1.3 seconds of each other. A superb race. The second placed Mercantile composite crew was stroked by Ben Whitmee and also contained Jordan Roberts and Stephen O'Sullivan.
The cream rose to the top on the first day of finals, and the competition was fierce. The quality of racing was superb despite adverse wind conditions.
Coaches Alistair Matthews and Sam Fennessy are the drivers of the boat trailer for the leg to Perth and the 'Trailer Al' is proving it's worth and towing well.
