Day one of the World Championships saw club member Fergus Hamilton win his heat in the men's pair along side his partner Simon Keenan. In other good news, top medal prospect Tara Rigney won her heat in the women's single.

In other boats, the lightweight men's double just qualified for the quarter final but was well off the pace and the men's single and double will have to qualify inthrough the repechage.

Sadly adverse weather condition are forecast for the racing tonight so racing will start early and be compacted into a shorter program.

We will see Club members Jess Morrison with start in the pair, Jess Gallagher in the PR3 Mixed four and Kat Werry in the four. It will be a great days racing.
