Vale Richard Stanley

We have only become aware that a past member, Richard Stanley QC, died last June. Richard rowed with us most recently as a social/masters rower. Richards was educated at Xavier College and at late at Melbourne University. He was an outstanding sportsman in rowing, Australian rules football and in later life tennis and golf. He was an outstanding barrister and described as the pre-eminent jury advocate of his time.
