Scotch Mercantile Regatta Volunteers Requested

Published Sun 02 Jan 2022

Jointly with Scotch College, the Club runs the annual Scotch Mercantile Regatta. Commenced in 1959, it is the 63rd running of the regatta. Bob Aitken and Euan Davidson from Scotch College initiated the regatta and its regatta seceratry for many years was Bill Bradshaw

This year, the chair of the regatta committee will again be Bill Webster, [Editor: does he know this?], and after such a stellar performance last year, regatta secretary will be Phil Tran. Treasurer and umpire will again be Duncan MacKinnon and referee for the regatta will again be Andrew Guerin.

The regatta will be conducted on Saturday 19th March.

Volunteers are called for to run the regatta with a wide variety of tasks to be performed. Please respond favourably to the Secretary so that the organisation can begin.

For those that cannot attend, you can sponsor a race from the senior school races to the junior races. A wide range of prices exist so it fits all budgets.

We look forward to your assistance.
