The Melbourne City Council advises as follows -
As previously communicated, Moomba Festival is returning this year with a full program including the Moomba Masters, Birdman Rally and Moomba Parade. To assist with the operations of the festival, there will be a number of river and road closures.
We are aware that this period is extremely important to the rowing community, and have designed our river closure schedule to allow for minimal impact on your training and operations where possible.

Road closures:
Mon 28 Feb – Wed 2 Mar: Parking unavailable on South side of Boathouse Drive.
Thurs 3 Mar – Sun 6 Mar: Permit required to enter Boathouse Drive, with limited parking available.
Mon 7 Mar – Thurs 10 Mar: Permit required to enter Boathouse Drive, no parking available.
Fri 11 March – Mon 14 March: Event live, no access or parking available. Early morning pick-up of trailers may be allowed, please contact for approval.
Tues 15 Mar – Wed 16 Mar: Permit required to enter Boathouse Drive, no parking available.
A permit will be required to enter & park on Boathouse Drive, please print out and display the permit attached prior to arriving on-site.
River closures:
Bump in: From 9am Wed 2 March
Competition: From 8am Wed 9 March.
Please be careful when rowing, infrastructure will be in the river when open.
