Our members raced superbly at World Cup 2, their first international outing this season with good success in fast conditions.
In the big boats, Paige Barr and Hayley Verbunt won the women's eight, Gus Widdicombe and Jack Robertson were in the silver winning men's eight, behind the dominant British crew and ahead of the Germans, and Kat Werry won bronze in the two seat of the women's four.

However the most dominant display of all Australian crews came in the women's pair, where Jess Morrison along with partner Annabelle McIntyre, won powerfully from start to finish in a superb race. The opposition will be looking for other events.

In other races on finals day, Tara Rigney from Sydney won silver in the scull, the men's quad finished sixth, men's four silver, PR3 Mixed double gold, women's quad eighth, lightweight women's double ninth, and lightweight men's double seventh. A good day fro Australia in this critical year with Olympic qualification up for grabs at the World Championships.
