The Club's Foundation was established to help secure the future of the Club in times of existential crisis through a donation from the Late President James Sprigg. Through many oter donations, it brew and facilitated the boathouse renovation about a decade ago. This in turn enabled the Club to host two schools with their own facilities and so receive the resulting rental whch funds professional coaching. The scope of the Foundation was widened beyond the boathouse to equipment, coaching and supporting athletes with national seat fees. The fund has grown sufficiently to provide the Club with $50,000pa towards euipment needs and to support athletes with seat fees. It is still a long way off being able to assist with coaching expenses. The assets of the Foundation amount to $2mil and have grown through generous donations from Club members. The Club's main benefactor Sean Colgan is by far the most prominant and we continue to be amazed by his generosity. Well done Sean.
