Mercs and Australian crews performed well at 2022 Henley Royal Regatta.

Jess Morrison won the Hambleden Pairs Challenge Cup with her similarly highly credentialled American partner.

Also on the podium was our girl's school partner St Catherine's College. They had a stellar week in which they defeated some of the best school crews from around the world. Watching them was proud Mum of Zara in the bow seat (and Mercantile President), Gina Peele.

Also in the winners circle were the Australian Men's Double Scull and Men's Four.

The Australian women's quad raced well but were no match for the Chinese quad who raced superbly again.

In the Remenham the Australian eight stroked by Club member Kat Werry could not overcome the British eight in a good tussle in which the Australians led early.

David Bartholot was next in the Diamond Challenge Culls against Ollie Zeidler of Germany. Despite racing bravely, he was no match for Zeidler.

The women's double sculls followed in the Stonor Challenge Trophy where the American combination took thye honours.

Sadly the Australian eight comprising Club members Angus Widdicombe and Ben Canham did not prevail over the Brits but it was an excellent race.
