Our oldest member and longest serving member who joined in 1935, Arthur Atkins, celebrated his 104th birthday today.

Arthur enjoyed the birthday card from members and the accompanying cakes. He spoke again today fondly of his time at Mercantile as a young man andhow much he enjoys visiting Mercantile for luncheons. 

His mobility has not be great of recent times and he is reluctantly using a walking stick. He lives at home and is looking forward to warmer weather to be able to get back to his gardening.

Hopefully we will be over COVID in time to celebrate his 105th birthday at the Club.
