Good results at Ballarat

Published 24th January 2022

Our performance group enjoyed good success at the Ballarat Regatta last weekend at the first serious regatta of the season. There were some COVID disruptions that will occur all season and some fields did not contain the expected crews.

Particularly pleasing was the result in the under 21 men's and women's eights which won their races. Included in the under 21 women's eight was Remy McKay, daughter of Mike McKay. Like father like daughter, racing with success.

Thank you to Louise Carr for the photos.

The men's under 21 four won their race with ourother fours off the pace. There is good talent in these crews but the transition to the intensity of club rowing will take a little longer.

The women's under 21 fours were also a little green on their first outing but also very promising.
