Friday at the Nationals

Some good results from our athletes in the racing on Friday.

First up were our top under 21 athletes. Our number 1 crew finished fifth in the A final.

Remy McKay, Jess Hawker, Zara Bongiorno, Bronte Cullen, Cox: Summer Balla-Kellett

Our men's crew of George Burney, Jake Polkinghorne, Oliver Scalzo, Ed Findlay and Jess Rawolle did one better finishing a frustrating fourth.

Dom Frederico combined with Harry Fox to limp over the line with some issues met during the race in the A final of under 23 double scull.

Austin Reinehr combined with some MUBC rowers in the under 34 four finishing fourth, narrowly off the podium.

The Mercantile open four of Mimi Tuddenham, Jess Morrison, Paige Barr and Kat Werry also finished in fourth place but great to see our non-composite crew.

The men's open four for the Bob Aitken Memorial Trophy provided Gus Widdicombe with a silver medal and Jack Robertson a bronze (although wearing a UTS singlet).

Jordan Roberts and Ben Whitmee combined with two others to win the Under 23 lightweght four.
