Nagambie Regatta in Review

The first day of this regatta was another important regatta for our youth athletes with the honours again being shared with University. 

Our men's youth four again won easily but narrowly lost the eight, and our women's youth four went down to University but again defeated them in the eight but almost the same margin as the loss in the four. Our number two fours both finished in fourth position.

The crews were:

Men's Under 21 Four - first - George Burney, Jake Polkinghorne, Austin Reinehr, Oliver Scalzo, Jess Rawolle(c)

Women's Under 21 Four - second - Remy McKay, Jess Hawker, Anna Morrison, Bronte Cullen, Summer Balla-Kellett(c)

Men's Under 21 Eight - second - Benjamin van den Berg, Jack Ivers, Joshua Murphy, Edward Findlay, Jake Polkinghorne, George Burney, Austin Reinehr, Oliver Scalzo, Jess Rawolle(c)

Women's Under 21 Eight - first - Felicity Murray, Brigit Somerville, Zara Bongiorno, Victoria Trentin, Anna Morrison, Jess Hawker, Remy McKay, Bronte Cullen, Summer Balla-Kellett(c)

Finalists in other races were -   

  • Men's Under 21 Scull - Ed Findlay - fourth
  • Women's Under 21 Scull - Chloe Robinson - second, Abigail Cox - third, Sophie Bolmat - sixth and Emma Gebert - seventh
  • Women's Under 21 Double Scull of Cox and Robinson - first and Anastacia Pitsaris and Helena Skiathitis - fourth
  • Women's Club Scull - Jenisi Kelderman - second
  • Women's Club Eight of Eliza Planincic, Sophie Williams, Amy Baker, Sophie Coltman, Olivia Evans, Xanthe Hadfield, Louise Carr, Henrietta Paterson, Isabel Finch (c) - first
  • Women's Club Four comprised the same crew who finished first and second
  • Women's Club Double Scull of Edie Bensonand Jenisi Kelderman - second

Sunday Racing

The Club was represented by less crews on Sunday but success was recorded twice with Matthew Crooks in the C single (and a second in the B single), and in the men's A eight of D.Katsivelis, Benjamin Worth, Nickolas Kronenburg, Michael Holman, Patrick Somerville, M.Neave, Sam Jobson, Z.Bowen, Cox: J Hoopmann.
