Phoebe started her rowing at MLC in 2014. Her school rowing carrer was excellent and she finished her rowing at MLC winning the Head of the Schoolgirls first eights in 2017.
Her first club season in 2018 was superb. She raced in the Mercs youth eight winning the Victorian and New South Wales State Championships, then winning the Bicentennial Cup and also finishing third in the under 23 eight.

So what got her interested in the sport? Needless to say, the strong family connection with the sport with both her mother (Felicity McCall) and her grandfather (Graeme McCall) being both Australian team rowers may have been an influence.
However away from family influences, Phoebe loves the Club environment, being amongst good and motivated people, the routine of the sport and fitness.
Most memorable race – probably 2017 Head of the Schoolgirls being placed second with 200m to go and then finishing first. The race at the NSW States was also memorable.
Aims for 2018-19? Lightweight sculling and an A final finish in the lightweight scull. This result could lead to Victorian representation. Whatever the result in 2018-19, Phoebe has a great future ahead of her.
